Pork Goulash
Serves 4
Ingredients
2 lbs lean pork shoulder or tenderloin, cubed
1 cup onions, chopped
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon caraway seed
2 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon vinegar
1/2 cup beef broth or water
1 tablespoon flour
salt and pepper to taste
Method
Heat butter in a saucepan, add onion and sauté until golden. Stir in caraway seed, paprika and vinegar, add meat, cover and cook gently for half an hour. Stir in flour, add broth or water, salt and pepper, blend and cook covered for another 30 minutes or until meat is soft.
