Ingredients
1/2 lb lean beef, minced
1/2 lb veal, minced
1/2 lb lean pork, minced
1/3 cup smoked bacon, diced
2 hard rolls
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon onion, minced
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon marjoram
1/4 teaspoon caraway seed, crushed
1 long strip smoked bacon
Method
Trim crust off rolls, moisten rolls with milk and mash. Combine with all other ingredients except strip of bacon. Put in a loaf pan, place strip of bacon on top and bake in 375° oven for 1 1/2 hours. Baste a few times with pan juices.
